The Wolverines may have had difficulty finding the back of the net in their last two matches, but not so against Orcas.
With six goals in the first half and two more after the break, Friday Harbor tallied victory No. 3 of the season in a runaway 8-0 win over the Vikings. It’s the Wolverines second shutout and lopsided win of the year over a Division 2B opponent, having defeated Concrete by a similar score, 7-0, earlier in the season.
With the victory, Friday Harbor improved to 3-4 overall.
The Wolverines will be looking to even their record on the road against Northwest 1A/2B League rival Mount Vernon Christian, Thursday; game time is 3 p.m. They travel to Nooksack Valley, Saturday, for a 1:30 p.m. match up against the Pioneers.
