The Friday Harbor Wolverines baseball team traveled to Orcas on April 5, winning both games in a doubleheader against the Vikings.
“It was good to get two wins in our first league games,” coach Rich Warin said. “Overall we played pretty well but can always improve.”
The Wolverines won the first game, 8-0, with senior Marshal Clark only allowing Orcas two hits in the entire game. Junior Buck Mason had a triple and 2 RBIs, and Ethan Germain had a double and 2 RBIs.
In the second game, the Wolverines won, 9-3.
Junior Nick Herko had four hits and Buck had two hits with a triple. Ethan Germain had three hits in the game.
The Wolverines face the Concrete Lions in another doubleheader at home this weekend, at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.
“The doubleheader against Concrete is huge in the league standings,” Warin said.
