Girls soccer has an undefeated season

The Friday Harbor girls soccer defeated Mount Vernon Christian, 4-0, on Oct. 24.

“While no bearing on the playoff picture, the girls would like to complete an undefeated season,” said Paul Hopkins, coach. The team achieved that goal with the last win.

District playoffs come next in the postseason. Friday Harbor, the No. 1 seed, will host Auburn Adventist, the District 2 No. 2 seed at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30 at Linde Field.

“A win will send [us] to the district championship Nov. 3,” Hopkins explained, adding that it will also qualify them for the first round of the state tournament.
