OK, maybe not quite yet, but the start of the holidays is just a month away, which means local papers are gearing up to provide comprehensive coverage.

The Islands’ Sounder, Journal of the San Juans and Islands’ Weekly publish a full color, glossy magazine that feature stories, calendar listings and advertisements related to the holidays.

The publication is worthy of your coffee table, and because we publish the day before Thanksgiving, there is plenty of time for readers to peruse it before Christmas.

Are you a business that wants to encourage islanders to shop locally? Are you having a sale? Did you order special items for the season? Consider buying an ad in the Holiday Guide to let the community know what you have to offer. If you don’t spread the word, shoppers may not know how many great items we have right here at home.

We are also accepting editorial submissions. Is your church group holding a food drive? Are you organizing a concert? Any event happening between now and New Year’s Day can be listed in the magazine, so please let us know about it.

It’s a wonderful life we have here, but some need financial help to get through the winter. We also highlight local efforts to give back.
