Longtime resident Scott Allen Smith passed away in Bremerton, Washington at Harrison Hospital after a brief illness. He was 50 years old. Scott was transferred to Life Care Center in Port Orchard, Washington after the nursing home was closed in Friday Harbor. He leaves behind his parents, former residents, Richard (Dick) and Donna, sister Kelly and Mark McCutcheon, brothers Rick, now in Poulsbo, Washington, and Patrick and Trish, former resident of Friday Harbor now living in Kalispell, Montana. We want to thank the staff at Life Care Center Friday Harbor, Linda Howell who kept him in green hair, Debbie Grimes who went with him for the transfer, Elizabeth for teaching him Spanish, Dr. Susan Mahoney and Mother Dilecta Planasky of Our Lady of The Rocky Priory on Shaw Island for the cards, letters, spiritual guidance and visiting him when in town, several staff members who took the time to put a smile on his face. Words cannot express our thanks and appreciation for your kindness and support all these years. Funeral arrangements were made by Neptune Society, a gathering will be at a later date in Friday Harbor.
