Oma Margarete Teuwen

Oma Margarete Teuwen

April 24, 1922 — March 15, 2006

Oma, as she was known to all her friends, was born in Germany. She came to this country in 1970 and was a pioneer in the healing art of Reflexology.

Oma owned and operated the Glendale Reflexology Center in Southern California for almost 20 years. In July 1999, Oma moved to San Juan Island to spend her sunset years in the care of her youngest son.

Oma looked forward to making her transition to the other side and often expressed her wishes for us to rejoice in the glory of her journey home to God. A celebration for all that were touched by her will be held on April 24 at Oma’s cottage. She asked us to wear white in her memory on that day.

Oma remembered well what it was like to go hungry during the early years of her adult life. Memorial contributions to any organization assisting the homeless and destitute would be welcomed.

Thank you one and all for opening your arms and welcoming Oma into your lives. It gave her much comfort and joy to feel your love and appreciation

for her presence in our community.

We bid her a fond farewell. We will miss her.
