Elizabeth F. Lampard (Betty Hammond)

Elizabeth F. Lampard (Betty Hammond) passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2006. She was 73.

Liz was born June 17, 1932 to Gerald and Mary Hammond on Lopez Island.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lampard; sons, John Sutterman of Tenino, and Robert Sutterman of Edmonds; daughters, Betty Nielsen of Tenino, Sharon May of Kennewick, Linda Cortright and Jerrie Smith of Edmonds, and Jackie Vautrin of Friday Harbor.

She was a loving Grandma “MeMe” to seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are sisters Geraldine Percich, Eunice Normet, Lois Gallanger, Helaine Gallanger, Ruth Cox, LouAnn Gilbert; and brothers, Jerome Hammond and Bruce Hammond. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Hammond.

Liz had numerous nieces and nephews, including Bill Percich and Johnny Jackson of Friday Harbor.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held April 15, 1 p.m., in the Skookumchuck Grange Hall in Tenino.

The family requests in lieu of flowers remembrances be made to the American Cancer Society.
