Dennis “Talley” Jenkins, 52, of Friday Harbor, Washington, formerly of Rockport, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at his residence. He was born on July 14, 1968, in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
Talley served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Navy Technician – Propulsion Engineer and was honorably discharged as a Machinist Mate Second Class Petty Officer. He could fix just about anything and was skilled as a carpenter, plumber and electrician which enabled him to be a self-employed contractor throughout his civilian life.
Talley led an adventurous life — he loved traveling, hunting, and riding his Moto Guzzi and Harley Davidson bikes. To all who knew him, he was bigger than life and had an uncanny ability to show up when others needed help — and the best part is that he was always eager to help others.
Talley leaves behind his soulmate Ingrid Little; two children Aubrey and Matthew Jenkins; grandchildren Ava and Leia Jenkins; siblings Brigl James and Helen Jenkins; and six dogs which he cared for like his children.
