If you’ve got 90 minutes to help a student further their education and aren’t too shy about offering an opinion, then you’re just the person Friday Harbor High School is looking for.
On Wednesday, June 5, the students (juniors) of the high school’s community service-learning class will present their projects and talk about what they accomplished and what they learned.
The high school is seeking 15 volunteers to help evaluate those projects and offer feedback to the students about their respective projects.
Spring semester projects include, painting and tutoring at the elementary school, planting at the National Parks, playhouses for the fairgrounds, making hats and capes for patients undergoing mammograms at local hospitals, to name just a few.
The presentations take place at Friday Harbor High School, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
To sign up, contact community projects class instructor Jenny Wilson, at, jennywilson@sjisd.wednet.edu., or call the high school, 378-5215.
