Two vehicle accidents within minutes of each other on Roche Harbor Road kept emergency personnel busy, Friday. Both followed in the wake of a bomb scare on a ferry that had pulled into the Friday Harbor ferry landing; the scare was determined to be the result of a joke.
The first vehicle accident, between 4:45 and 4:50 p.m., involved a car and a bicycle on Roche Harbor Road near Westcott Bay Road. The vehicle went off the road. There were no serious injuries and Airlift Northwest was called to “stand down.” More details were not immediately available late Friday.
Shortly after that incident occurred, additional personnel were dispatched to the scene of a truck that went off the road at Roche Harbor and Rouleau roads. There were reportedly no injuries.
