Project task(s):

The contractor will be assembling catch basins, manholes and storm drainage on the east side of Tucker Avenue. The contractor will transition into the second phase of the project ,which includes water system upgrades. Project areas will be cleaned and patched Thursday afternoon.

Street Closure:

The northbound lane between Guard Street and Harbor Street will remain closed for the duration of the project. Southbound traffic will remain open through the week. Expect realignment of the lane as work develops. Traffic will be diverted around the work or stopped entirely when road crossings are performed. Flaggers are on site during heavy equipment maneuvering. There will be times when the contractor needs use of the southbound lane and vehicles may experience short delays.

Local access will remain open at all times, but neighbors of the project should also anticipate short delays during certain portions of construction. The contractor is making every effort to not be disruptive to the businesses on Tucker Avenue and residences in the area.

Construction Hours:

The contractor is authorized to work between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
