There is a relatively small wildland fire burning to the West of Victoria, BC that may be sending some smoke in the direction of the islands later today and into later in the week. Levels will hopefully be fairly light, but will definitely be noticeable.
For more info about wildfire smoke and how to manage any potential impacts on personal health, please review the WA DOH smoke page at: https://doh.wa.gov/community-and-environment/air-quality/smoke-fires
There is a useful tool for modeling future smoke impacts at: https://firesmoke.ca/forecasts/current/
And there’s an article on the fire in the Victoria Times Colonist: https://www.timescolonist.com/local-news/sooke-potholes-fire-burning-five-km-from-greater-victorias-water-supply-9259907.
