The San Juan Island School District Board of Directors will hold two special school board meetings on Monday, Jan. 9 and Wednesday, Jan. 18.

The meeting at 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9 will be held at the School District Office, 285 Blair Avenue and will include an executive session from 5:01-5:30 p.m. This is per RCW 42.30.110(g), to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment, or to review the performance of a public employee. The board will reconvene into an open public meeting at 5:30 p.m. for possible action.

The meeting at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18 will be held at the Friday Harbor Elementary School, 95 Grover Street, for purposes of information to the board, including a public hearing regarding a committee proposal to move the sixth grade from the elementary school to the middle school.
