Auditions for San Juan Community Theatre’s Reader Theatre series is 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 8 at SJCT’s PARC Studio at 70 Saltspring Drive, Friday Harbor.

The “On Book!” Readers Theatre series showcases exceptional playwriting and allows actors of all levels to participate in staged readings.

“Rapture, Blister, Burn,” written by Gina Gionfriddo, is a comedy that takes an unflinching look at gender politics in the wake of 20th-century feminist ideals.

Director Therese Finn will be looking for four readers: two women aged 40s to 50s, one man aged 40s to 50s and one woman aged early 20s.
