Second-half property tax payment due Oct. 31

Property owners can pay in person, by mail or online, but payments must be received or postmarked by Oct. 31 to avoid interest of 1 percent added to any unpaid amount.

Due date for local property tax payments, for second-half of 2013, is Thursday, Oct. 31.

Payments post-marked by that date will be accepted by San Juan County Treasurer’s office. Payment by cash, personal checks, cashier’s checks and money order are accepted in person at the treasurer’s office.

Payment can also be made by credit card or by electronic check by calling Point & Pay, 1-877-816-9299, or via the homepage of the treasurer on the county website, www.co.san-juan.wa.us. Electronic payment include a fee; parcel number and amount is required.
