The San Juan County Public Hospital District 1 Board will hold a special meeting for commissioner education on Monday Feb. 26 from 12:30 to about 2 p.m., at the Frank Wilson Memorial EMS Building at 1079 Spring Street. Topics being discussed include the Open Public Meetings Act, public records, the role of a commissioner, strategies for a well-functioning board, and management versus governance.

The regular board meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. at the county legislative hearing room at 55 Second St.

Agendas will be posted on the EMS building, hospital district office, and the district website at www.sjcphd.org within 24 hours of each meeting.
