The San Juan Island Rotary Club recently presented checks to the recipients of proceeds from their annual Concours d’Elegance held on Aug. 28 at the San Juan Vineyard.
Mariluz Villa of Hospice of San Juan and Jennifer Armstrong of the San Juan Island Family Resource Center each received $6300. Hospice will direct the funds to two of their programs: Medical Equipment Lending and a Music and Memory program. The family resource center will continue providing valuable resources for island individuals and families.
The Rotary Club will also donate $1,000 to the PolioPlus Fund of Rotary International, dedicated to achieving a polio-free world in our lifetimes.
