Monday
— San Juan County Solid Waste Advisory Committee, 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., District 3 Fire Station, 1011 Mullis St., Friday Harbor. The committee will take public comment and conduct deliberations on its site selection recommendation for the new transfer station/recycling facility.

Tuesday
— San Juan County Council, special meeting, 10 a.m. to noon, Lopez Center.

— Critical Areas Ordinance Review Committee, 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., Lopez Island Library Meeting Room, 2225 Fisherman Bay Road, Lopez Island.

— San Juan Island Library Board of Trustees, 6 p.m., library meeting room.

Sept. 18
— San Juan County Park Board, 8:30 a.m., Islanders Bank Administration Building, 545 Park St., Friday Harbor.

— State Transportation Commission, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Council Hearing Room at 55 Second St., Friday Harbor. The County Council and Ferry Advisory Committee will participate.
