San Juan County Prosecuting Attorney Randall Gaylord was elected secretary-treasurer of the Washington Association of County Officials during that organization’s 50th annual conference Oct. 6-10 in Spokane.
The conference featured educational sessions and provided the forum for adoption of the group’s 2009 Legislative Agenda.
Gaylord has served on the association’s Board of Trustees since 2003 and has served as president of the Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys.
The Washington Association of County Officials is a non-profit organization that provides legislative representation to its members along with research assistance and training and acts as the coordinating agency for seven county official groups. Its membership includes county assessors, auditors, county clerks, coroners and medical examiners, prosecuting attorneys, sheriffs, and treasurers in each of Washington’s 39 counties.
Other officers include Jefferson County Treasurer Judi Morris, president; Benton County Assessor Barbara Wagner, president-elect; and Chelan County Sheriff Mike Harum, vice president.
