The Board of Commissioners of the Port of Friday Harbor will hold a special commission meeting from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 5 at the San Juan Island Yacht Club, 273 Front Street, Friday Harbor, Washington. The purpose of the special meeting will be for the port commissioners to attend the open house to provide members of the public opportunity to submit comments on the draft environmental assessment for the Friday Harbor obstruction removal project. This project is designed to remove certain trees that are hazards to aircraft on approach to the airport.
