PeaceHealth Family Medicine offering back-to-school sports physicals

Submitted by PeaceHealth

The PeaceHealth Peace Island Family Practice clinic will be holding two all-day back-to-school sports physical clinics for both current and non-established patients ahead of the start of the fall athletics season:

Wednesday, July 31, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 7, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 20-minute exams will be given by Drs. Steven Hoang, DO, and Jesse Nye, DO. The cost is $75; typically insurance does not cover this. The exams are required in order for youths, grades six through 12, to participate in extracurricular sports. The exams can screen athletes for potential illness or conditions that may limit or restrict their ability to participate in a sport, or conditions that may be aggravated by intense exercise.

Please note: Sports physicals are not the equivalent of well-child exams.

Please call the clinic at 360-378-1756 to schedule an appointment. Complete this form in either English or Spanish and bring to the appointment.
