Duane Roger Gangelhoff of Oak Harbor, formerly of Minneapolis, Minn., and Roche Harbor, passed away Aug. 18.
He was 73.
Duane was born May 7, 1935. He was a member of Hennepin Masonic Lodge No. 4 A.F & A.M., Friday Harbor Masonic Lodge No. 175 A.F. & A.M., Zurah Shrine, Commandry Drum & Bugle Corps, Robbinsdale Shrine Club, Zurah Pipe and Drum Corps and the Zurah Cycle Corps. He also served in the Minnesota National Guard.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn and James; brother, Robert; wife, Miriam “Bobbie”; and son-in-law, Calvin.
He is survived by his children, Marcia (Gary) Blake, Kay Dahlquist and Joseph “JJ” (Jennifer); stepsons, Michael and Ron Hall; granddaughters, Kaela and Elizabeth; step-great-grandchildren: Austin, Nicholas, Wyatt and Gabriel; brother, Paul (Jacqueline); former wife, Barbara; niece and nephew, Tricia and Todd; and many other family and friends.
A Masonic service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, with visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave S., Minneapolis.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital.
