A special meeting of the San Juan Island Library Board of Trustees is scheduled today at 11:30 a.m. to discuss hiring policy. The meeting, in the San Juan Island Library, 1010 Guard St., is open to the public.

Superintendent Michael Soltman said he hopes to reschedule the meeting in early January, followed by a regular school board meeting Jan. 14.
