Due to increased traffic wait times on Nichols Street, and to enhance pedestrian safety crossing Argyle Avenue, the Town is implementing a traffic revision on Nichols. To access Argyle Avenue from Nichols Street, vehicles must turn right at the intersection, then go through the roundabout and exit onto Argyle.

To avoid the roundabout altogether, drivers are advised to use Web Street and make a left onto Argyle from Web.

The Town has received numerous requests to alleviate backups occurring on Nichols Street due to vehicles turning left. The traffic revision should improve traffic flow and make it safer for pedestrians. The Town appreciates the public’s patience as drivers adjust to the new traffic pattern.
