Three elected officials were sworn-in on Dec. 30, just in time for the new year; District Court Judge Carolyn Jewett, Sheriff Eric Peter, and Prosecuting Attorney Amy Vira.
All elected officials were sworn-in Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. Superior Court Judge Katie Loring presided over the ceremony. The officials included Court Clerk Lisa Henderson, Treasurer Rhonda Pederson, Sheriff Eric Peter, Auditor Natasha Warmenhoven, Prosecuting Attorney Amy Vira, County Council member Jane Fuller and Assessor John Kulseth. For the sake of saving time, the group was sworn in as a whole.
Afterward, Loring handed the microphone over to each one to give them a moment to address the crowd. Each in their own way thanked the community for their support, and their staff and team for the work they do, and are looking forward to the next four years.
