The San Juan County Department of Emergency Management is teaming up with the San Juan Island Grange and San Juan Island Fire & Rescue to offer this opportunity to learn more about disaster risks and preparedness steps. With a goal of reassuring the worried, informing the uninformed and preparing the unequipped, this event will be perfect for those who are ready to embrace island common sense and self-sufficiency.

In the wake of the March 3 earthquake near Orcas Island, a number of island residents are looking for help with how to improve their preparedness and understanding. This forum will be a perfect place to start.
