Please come down to the dock to learn about this special educational journey! There will be a remote operated vehicle, or ROV, demonstration and a lot of ocean science/stewardship conversation. Career-oriented potential students could learn about how the boat was prepped at SVC’s marine tech facility in Anacortes. During the journey, the crew will live stream various research projects, as well as video document any necessary repairs made along the way. They plan to drop a number of wave monitoring buoys and provide real-time access to high school students in Skagit, Island and San Juan counties. They plan to connect students from our region with students around the Americas.
