A satire of Europe during the “Roaring’20s” is the next feature in San Juan Community Theatre’s HD live program.
The Bolshoi Ballet Only in Cinemas production of The Golden Age will be broadcast in the Whittier Theatre on Monday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
The original, colorful and dazzling ballet features a jazzy score and music-hall atmosphere where “The Golden Age” cabaret is the favorite nightly haunt of dancers, bandits and young revelers. The story is full of mad rhythms, vigorous chase scenes, decadent cabaret numbers and a passionate love story.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for SJCT members and $10 for student reserved. Due to a financial agreement with Bolshoi Ballet Only in Cinemas, no SJCT coupons are accepted for these productions. The SJCT box office (378-3210) is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are also available on-line at www.sjctheatre.org.
