MOUNT VERNON — Hospice of the Northwest announces the appointment of Bob Laws to the position of Executive Director.
“We are excited to have Bob take over the leadership of this dynamic service which supports patients and families at Hospice of the Northwest,” said Ted Brockmann, Hospice of the Northwest Operations Board President. “Bob has a comprehensive set of skills that will ensure the mission of ‘Compassion and Dignity Every Moment of Life’ will continue in to the future.”
Laws has worked at Hospice of the Northwest since February 2008 – he has five years of experience providing nursing care to patients and families. He was promoted to the Manager/Referral Center where he worked for almost two years. His most recent position, since November 2014, has been Clinical Manager/Nursing and Aides. He and his family have lived in Anacortes for 20 years and are an integral part of the community.
Laws is replacing Jean Leib who announced her retirement last month. Ms. Leib stated “Bob’s a great choice – he is a smart, caring nurse and a leader who is highly respected by everyone at Hospice of the Northwest.”
