Friday Harbor man charged with possession of child pornography

Wesley A. Watson, 33, of Friday Harbor was charged on March 29 with multiple counts of first-degree and second-degree possession of child pornography and one count of attempted voyeurism.

Wesley A. Watson, 33, of Friday Harbor was charged on March 29 with multiple counts of first-degree and second-degree possession of child pornography and one count of attempted voyeurism.

After receiving a report that Watson was allegedly attempting to video a juvenile in an inappropriate way, in his previous home in Cle Elum, police seized the 33-year-old’s phone. On the phone, officers were able to locate more than 1,000 photos involving pornography of children. By the time police had put the case together and got a warrant for his arrest, Wesley had moved to San Juan Island. The San Juan County Sheriff’s Department eventually made the arrest of the suspect. Cle Elum Police officers then took a boat to the islands to collect the man accused of two crimes. “We don’t see that many ferriesl in our arrests,” said Police Chief Scott Ferguson.,” said Cle Elum Police Chief Scott Ferguson.
