On March 12, deputies arrested a Friday Harbor man at his Finnegan Ridge residence for three counts of RCW 69.50.4011 Delivery of Counterfeit Substances. The sheriff’s office conducted a series of controlled buys with the help of a confidential informant. On three occasions over a four-month period, the CI exchanged cash for a baggy containing a large amount of yellow pills, identified by the pill markings as Xanax, at various places around Friday Harbor. At 10 a.m. deputies went to his residence and placed him in custody and booked him into jail at the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office is currently awaiting the lab results for formal charges to be filed.
