Because that’s all you will need to enter the “Share Your Washington” sweepstakes, sponsored by Washington State Tourism, and a chance to win 365 days of free flights on Alaska Airlines for you and a friend. The grand prize includes a pair of round-trip coach tickets anywhere Alaska Airlines flies as well.

Here’s how it works:

From now until June 15, send a ‘Share Your Washington’ invitation to friends or family asking them to visit Washington at www.ShareYourWashington.com, and, if they do, you’re automatically entered into the drawing.

Washington residents can send unlimited invitations, which means you can enter the sweepstakes numerous times.

Marsha Massey, executive director of Washington State Tourism, said, “Share Your Washington was created as a fun and upbeat way for Washingtonians to utie behind a common cause that helps their communities and the whole state.”

According to John Cooper, president of Washington State Destination  Marketing Organizations Association, tourism is the state’s fourth-largest export-oriented industry and, “our local economies depend on travelers to support local jobs and businesses.”

Entering the sweepstakes is simple. Visit www.ShareYourWashington.com to send an electronic postcard to a friend or family member, and you’re  automatically entered as a sweepstakes’ contestant. Each electronic postcard includes special deals and discounts for the recipient, such as shopping discounts or special rates at local hotels.

“We look forward to providing someone a once-in-a-lifetime year-long air travel pass throughout this incredible state,” said Joe Sprague, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of marketing.
