The 4th Annual Bobby Boyce Memorial Sports Scholarship Fundraiser sponsored by Friday Harbor’s American Legion Post 163 is Saturday, May 5.

The main course of this year’s fundraising dinner features barbecue salmon and St. Louis-style pork ribs (bring a dessert to share). The event includes live music and a raffle drawing. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. at the Legion Hall, 110 N. First St.

Founded in honor of Bobby Boyce, a noted island sports enthusiast, the scholarship is awarded annually to athletes who have made a significant contribution to high school sports and is open to all local graduates.
