The San Juan Public Schools Foundation held their 22nd annual Knowledge Bowl Monday, Feb. 8,in front of a packed audience at the San Juan Community Theatre.
San Juan Island School board member Brent Snow had the audience laughing as Master of Ceremonies, while simultaneously stressing the importance of math, science and education. The Schools Foundation presented Superintendent Danna Diaz with a $107,244.68 to the San Juan School District, Debbie Taylor provided a video about the importance of education, the high school jazz band put on an incredible mini concert during half time, and there was also a magic show highlighting the schools STEM programs.

9/10 the Neons; Jaclyn Domenech, Savannnah, Hoffman, Joseph Kaden and Kiana Woods.
11/12 Purple Power; Kai Herko, Cheri Lanham, Fiona Sutherland and Echo Wood.
Soroptimist, the Glamerous Cowgirls Dana Bune, Nancy Devaux, Kim Galton and Necia Quast.
Lions, the Howards; Bruce Galton, George Johnson, Bill Waxman and Bob Williams.
Kiwanis, the Cooks; Jerry Ball, Nancy Fusare, Doug Popham and Vicky Thalacker.
Rotary Club, the Einsteins; Bob Anderson, Chris Compton, Tony Vivenzio and Beth Williams-Grieger.
After fielding many tough, sometimes obscure questions, the Rotary Einsteins took home the prize.
