San Juan Forest Owners’ Field Day is from 8:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, at Thornbush Farm at 236 Ellison Lane in Friday Harbor. Gates and exhibits open at 7:45 a.m.

The event will include workshops by local experts on San Juan forest health issues; fire protection; proper tree spacing; wildlife; mushroom growing; restoring Garry oak; and more.

Before Aug. 16, the cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple. After Aug. 23, the cost is $40 per person and $55 per couple. On-site registration is $45 per person and $60 per couple. Those under 18 can attend for free.
