The Whale Museum is holding one final open house this year for anyone interested in volunteering with museum’s education department. The open house event will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 7.
The education department staff will be available to discuss volunteer opportunities and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.
On-site volunteer opportunities include becoming a docent to educate visitors and youth about marine mammals as well as serving as preschool and elementary teaching assistants. No experience is necessary – training will be provided! Scheduling can be flexible although most school groups typically visit the museum from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekdays, so that would be the time of most need.
