About Float Fest
The Roche Harbor Float Fest was started in 2020 to provide an afternoon of fun and live music for the harbor folk. It quickly evolved into a benefit concert for the Community Cancer Fund. The first year “Raised” over $30,000 with little to no publicity for the event. Even then, hundreds of people and numerous boats enjoyed the entertainment of Kelley James performing on a “Boat” moored in the harbor waters.
Last year, the Roche Harbor Float Fest was back. On the afternoon of August 6, 2022, two bands took the barge stage and performed their greatest hits to the sea-goers and landlubbers of the harbor.
Again, we raised awareness for the Community Cancer Fund and you responded with over $150,000 in donations to an amazing cause. Also in 2022, Roche Harbor Resort hosted their annual 4th of July celebrations and T-Mobile partnered with the Resort for a concert featuring Boyce Avenue.
This year, Roche Harbor Float Fest and T-Mobile have teamed up for a bigger and better event for 2023 with a full day of music! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, July 1 from 1 – 7 p.m., featuring performances by four great artists including a headlining set by Walk off the Earth! We’re also moving the concert to the shore this time to allow more fans to see the show from land and the water.
