Island Artisans is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1976 to raise scholarship funds for young artists within the community. The holiday market is the primary fundraiser for those scholarships. It is a juried show and sale by San Juan County artists, with each participating artist donating 10% of their sales to support the scholarship program. More than $15,000 in scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors annually. Additional donations and volunteers are welcome.
This year’s event is sponsored by Maya’s Legacy Whale Watching, Banner Bank, King’s Market, Friday Harbor Freight, Harbor Rental & Saw Shop, Browne’s Home Center, Vinny’s and San Juan Coffee Roasters. This is a great opportunity to support students and local artists, designers and craftspeople.
