Submitted by the San Juan Island Artist Studio Tour

A wonderful assortment of work from 66 artists will be on view at the Community Theatre on May 3 from 5-7 p.m. ahead of the 2024 Artist’s Studio Tour! The selection on view will include sculpture, painting, prints, jewelry, pottery, textiles, and more. This is a fantastic chance to preview the 23 different locations, meet the artists, and make your game plan for one of the biggest tours ever! The opening coincides with the First Friday Art Walk, so it’s easy to make a night of it with all of the other great galleries and openings in town. Snacks and beverages will be provided, just bring yourself (and a friend)! If you can’t make the opening, the show will be up from May 2 to May 30 and can be seen during regular SJCT hours, and at performances.

The San Juan Island Artists’ Studio Tour was started by island artists in 1991 with the intention of opening their studios to the public for a weekend. The artists wanted to show their friends and neighbors their unique lifestyles, tools of the trade, and the artistic process from the conception of an idea to a finished work of art.
