The annual Southern Resident Orca Community Action – Looking Forward (C.A.L.F.) workshop takes place on March 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the San Juan Island Grange. This community workshop focuses on current and upcoming issues affecting the endangered Southern resident orcas and how the public can become involved in recovery efforts.
Topics for the day include the proposed Chehalis River dam, Columbia River Systems Operations, Snake River dam related discussion and more. There is no fee for the workshop although donations to cover costs and pre-registration are greatly appreciated. Lunch can be pre-ordered before March 13.
