Griffin Bay Bookstore is sponsoring an author talk with the published science fiction writer Kem Ashing-Giwa in its Café Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. in Friday Harbor.

Kemi Ashing-Giwa has an undergraduate degree in integrative biology and astrophysics from Harvard University and is currently a PhD student in the Earth and Planetary Sciences department at Stanford University. Her forthcoming novella is This World Is Not Yours.
