The fourth annual, monthlong feast for the senses “Savor the San Juans” features farm festivals, historic district walking tours, winemakers’ dinners, dining out specials, art gallery happening and theater performances.

Check the special festival section of the website for the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau — www.VisitSanJuans.com/savor — for links to participating B&Bs, inns and hotels plus additions to the calendar and details on all events.

The online calendar will be updated daily as events and specials are added.

Activities include:

n A Culinary Celebration, savor three-course dinner specials for either $30 or $35 various fine restaurants on all three islands from Oct.1 – Oct .31.

n Artstock, a fall festival of art, see page 15, for more info.

n Lopez Island Vineyards Harvest Festival, a day of wine, food, and laughter —  to help harvest grapes, date TBD.

n 2nd Annual Islands’ Farm Festival on all three islands, includes farm tours, historical displays and talks, live music, restaurant farm-to-fork specials and more, Oct. 7 – Oct. 10.

n 17th Annual Oktoberfest, traditional food and drink, Bavarian music and dancing — including the chicken dance. Oct. 8.
