Consider helping the photography department this year at the San Juan County Fair. San Juan County Fair Photo Exhibit chairman Miles Crossen is looking for volunteers to help set up the photography department. Setup will run from around 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 14. If attendees can spare an hour to two, that would be great; the more, the merrier.

Crossen is also looking for judges to rate the photos on Tuesday between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. The more judges, the quicker the judging will be completed.

From 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 through 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, volunteers are needed to man the booth, answer questions and accept ballots for the “people’s choice” awards.

On Sunday, Aug. 19, volunteers are needed to close the booth.

Donated prizes, like gift certificates, from businesses, are needed as well. Volunteers are always glad to accept a few prizes for the award-winning photographs at any monetary value.
