San Juan County Department of Emergency Management is hosting a two-day training on minimizing and evaluating the damage to buildings from earthquakes.

The training is being held on Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Friday Harbor. There is no cost to attend.

Training is intended for facility managers, building officials, engineers, architects, contractors, first responders, or others who have a professional role in building safety, design or evaluation after an earthquake.

Participants must register in advance to enroll.
