San Juan Community Theatre is hosting a free summer festival from July 20-21.

On the evening of the 20, drop off kids at the theater and have a parents’ night out. The kids will play theater games, learn a “High School Musical” dance, have snacks and watch “High School Musical” in the Whittier Theatre.

Day two of the festival includes an open house with workshops on storytelling, ensemble building, design and volunteering. Staff and volunteers will host tours of the theater, a director’s roundtable, dinner on the lawn and then, to finish off the evening, a dueling pianos sing-along.
