The Salish Sea Ballet is thrilled to present its year-end showcase of Sleeping Beauty on Wednesday, June 12 at 6 p.m. The Salish Sea ballet dancers will demonstrate the skills they learned throughout the year. This production uses music from the score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky allowing local talented dancers (ages 4-18) to tell the whimsical story of the young Princess Aurora cursed by the evil fairy, Carabosse. Carabosse tries to put Aurora to death but compromises with the Queen sending her to sleep for years after pricking her finger on a magic rose. Aurora is awakened by the magic of the good fairies of Saphire, Silver, Golden Vine, and Lilac, to live happily ever after in the kingdom with her mother, the Queen. Performing one night only on Wednesday, June 12 at 6 p.m., come support our wonderfully talented local youth ballet dancers! Tickets are $15 for Adults, $7 for Students, and $5 for Student Rush. Tickets are available online at www.sjctheatre.org, or at the Box Office (360-378-3210), open 11 a.m. -2 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays.
