The Friday Harbor Sailing Club will be offering a beginners’ Sail and Race Clinic on April 8. Our introduction to sailing and racing clinic will be held at Shipyard Cove, 1063 Turn Point Road, just south of the Town of Friday Harbor. The Club will begin a talk and discussion at 10 AM followed by a Club-sponsored BBQ at 12 noon. After our lunch, we will walk the docks to view the different types of boats with skippers who are Club members. If weather permits, we will crew up and head out onto the water for an afternoon introductory sail. Sign up on our website under calendar – April 8. On April 22 we will be sponsoring our annual Flotsam Sea and Flea Market. We will focus our market on boating equipment and supplies but will open the doors at the County Fairgrounds to all. We begin our indoor event at 8 a.m. and will end at 2 p.m. Vendors will find booth applications on our website under calendar – April 22. Applications can be mailed in and are due by April 19. A booth will be $30 and a table will be $10. Coffee and lunch will be available. Cash sales only.
