Now in its 15th year, the Rotary Car Show (formerly called Concoursd’Elegance) is known for its relaxed, friendly atmosphere and stunning setting at San Juan Vineyard, 3136 Roche Harbor Road. Held Aug. 13, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., the show welcomes custom, classic and EV/alternative fuel vehicles. Live music, food, vineyard wines, and awards provide a winning combination for an afternoon of fun. Polish up those wheels and register your vehicle online (preferred) or on the day of the event from 9 – 10:30 am. Grab a morning refreshment and stroll among an eclectic mix of cars showcasing automotive history and innovation, not to mention a dose of island quirkiness.

Pause for a BBQ lunch with a side of live music from the Argyle Street Jazz Band, a slice of homemade dessert, and perhaps a glass of estate wine from the Vineyard. Then, help decide the People’s Choice Award; ballots are due by 1:30 pm.

Cars will be judged and awards presented by the Sports Car Club of San Juan Island at 2 pm. Award categories include: EV and Alternative Fuel Vehicles (new category!), American, European, Trucks, Custom/Modified/Hot Rod, Motorcycles, Best of Show, People’s Choice.

Everyone is encouraged to carpool. For those without transportation, both San Juan Transit https://www.sanjuantransit.com and the Jolly Trolley https://fridayharborjollytrolley.com pick passengers up at the Friday Harbor Ferry Terminal or Roche Harbor. Both will stop at San Juan Vineyard. Island taxis are also available.

This year’s proceeds will be distributed to the Joyce L. Sobel Family Resource Center, Family Umbrella Group, Youth Conservation Corp and PolioPlus. Over $100,000 has been raised over the past 14 years for local charities and Rotary’s worldwide effort to eliminate Polio.
