Have you met Friday Harbor’s official mascot, Popeye the harbor seal? Islanders can now buy their own plush Popeye toy to benefit The COVE Carlson Youth Center. This pilot project is a primary prevention initiative by SAFE San Juans.

Pop-Up COVE will launch this fall. This youth center will offer Friday Harbor teens a safe place to hang out, have fun, and receive help with homework or other mentoring activities, every week.

Purchase the plush Popeye, designed by local artist Bonnie Sliger, for a minimum $15 donation at locations like Friday Harbor Seafood, the Chamber of Commerce, San Juan Island Cheese Counter & Lunch Bistro, and the Orca Inn. SAFE San Juans staff thanks their retailer partners for supporting this project.
