Pet Spotlight: Rhea

Submitted by The Animal Protection Society – Friday Harbor.

Midlife can challenge the best of us, no? I’m prone to comfort eating if given the chance. And FYI: I don’t want to share food with canine companions.

I came to Friday Harbor with some medical issues, have an autoimmune condition but otherwise am in fine fettle. The medical staff praised my upbeat attitude during this health journey.

I do want to share outdoor adventures with my future crew! We will have a fantastic time on walks where I can indulge my nosework hobby.

Cozy time appeals to me, too. With folks who really get me, I might put my paw on your shoulder, stare at you with love in my eyes and share soft kisses on your cheek. And if you decide to give me tummy rubs but stop before I’m ready, I’ll put your hand back on my belly to let you know we’re not done yet.
